Overview
We are seeking a skilled RFID Field Engineer and subject matter expert to support activities related to shipyard modernization as part of enterprise-wide U.S. Navy strategic modernization and improvement efforts. The Field Engineer will provide on-site RFID technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operations of electronics, devices, and other system-of-systems components. Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the workflow and workforce, providing directions and recommendations when necessary.
- Develop strategies and plans to improve site efficiency, producing progress reports, and coordinating with other workers.
- Perform research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
- Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.
- Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components, including identifying and mitigating sources of interference and noise.
- Provide engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 10 years of Electronics or Electrical Engineer experience and field support.
- Proficiency in IOT, RFID, and network engineering.
- Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
- Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).
