We are hiring for a Nuclear Engineer or Radiation Detection Engineer in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite role due to cleared facility. An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for someone experience in Radiation Detection, Implementation and Computation (RADIAC) program in the design, development and deployment of radiation detection system..
Provide engineering support, process management and quality assurance for the RADIAC project.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess () or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Advanced degree (Master's, Ph.D., post-doctoral) in Nuclear Engineering, Physics or related degree from an accredited college/university.
5-9 years of related Engineering work experience; advanced degree may be used as substitute.
Experience conducting research and development in the areas of radiation detection and related technologies required.
Experience in radiation detection system design and integration .
Knowledge in radiation science and nuclear engineering and related discipline .
Working knowledge in scripting and analysis software like MATLAB and Python .
Experience in working with DoD users .
