As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our systems infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are efficient, reliable, and secure. Job Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining SAP B1 system
- Performing server migration and updates
- Continually look for opportunities to improve business efficiency,
- Monitor daily EDI & SAP operations and performance.
- Provide input and develop best practices and strategies regarding system deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Analyze existing operational standards, processes and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
- Ensure system performance uptime and scale, maintaining high standards of thoughtful design.
- Employ exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.
- Recommend design, build and deploy new tools and platforms that help automate, streamline and scale systems, operations efforts.
- Provide continuous monitoring, maintenance and support of all cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Stay informed on recent industry trends and developments to be proactive in actions whenever possible.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience with SAP B1
- 5+ years’ experience in a system engineer position preferred
- Experience with VMware
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
- Experience in server migration and updates
- Knowledge of network management, active directory aNAS, and SAN
- Understanding and experience in EDI
- Strong communication skills
- Very detail orientated, ability to trouble shoot quickly and efficiently
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Be flexible with excellent time management skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet established timelines.
