Location/Remote: This position is primarily remote, with select day(s) each month working from a location in the DC-MD-VA metro region.
Agilious is looking for an Infrastructure/DevOps Adoption Engineer to join our Agile Consulting practice. Our Agile consultants work closely with our customers to support them throughout their project needs. Our goal is to help our clients deliver value quickly and delight their end users by enabling a healthy Agile mindset and practices. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with other software development teams.
Level of Experience: >= 5 years
Clearance: Public Trust Clearance must be obtainable
Responsibilities:
- Administer on-prem and cloud-based Windows and Linux servers hosting a variety of applications
- Maintain Windows and Linux servers and applications hosted in Azure environments
- Configure and support DevOps processes using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Installation and configuration of MS SQL Database Servers
- Excellent understanding of Python, batch scripts, PowerShell and Java
- Manage certificates including requests, renewals, installations, and troubleshooting
- Ensure system availability, performance, capacity, and monitoring through proper response to incidents, events, and problems
- Establish and manage effective system monitoring and alerting using Splunk
- Analyze and address server-level security vulnerabilities
- Install, configure, maintain, administer, and enhance Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Sonar, and Git servers
- Develop and maintain installation, configuration, and operations procedures
- Experience with incident management and root cause analysis processes
- Documentation of infrastructure SOPs and other artifacts
- Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer
- Experience in managing application servers such as IIS and Tomcat in Windows and Linux environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues
- Experience with Windows Server Administration
- Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, and Coverity
- Good understanding of networks, firewalls, troubleshooting, and basic network administration
- Experience with Splunk or similar monitoring tool
- Experience with Azure Cloud technologies is a plus
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Effective communication skills to work in a large team consisting of Federal Employees and Contractors
- Prior experience with Federal Government projects is a plus
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Additional experience may be substituted for education
