Senior Mechanical Engineer-Project Manager

Shamrock Engineering is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project manager.

Shamrock Engineering was established in 2008 and has been focused on delivering sustainable, cost-effective design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for the Florida market.

Qualifications

· Knowledge in design and modelling software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360, Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, Energy Gauge, Procore)

· Ability to perform various system studies (thermal comfort, indoor air quality, humidity control, energy management, heating/cooling, energy calculations)

· BS degree in Mechanical Engineering

· 8 or more years of relevant experience in engineering directly related to HVAC systems of multi-family buildings

· PE license in Florida

· Experience with smoke control system design and high-rise buildings

. Experience and knowledge of plumbing systems a plus

Responsibilities

· As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work directly with the owner as a project manager and will the lead the team of engineers and designers to meet the client’s expectations.

· Direct and review calculations and design for commercial, multi-family, entertainment, hospitality, retail, restaurants, industrial, or office spaces, or any combination of these

· You will be responsible for leading design and coordination efforts with the MEP/FP teams and serving as the project manager for various projects

· You will also support the owner with business development efforts, working with project teams, other senior and junior engineers, and clients in the design of buildings

· Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and within a team

· Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency and safety, as well as constructability and cost

· Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, FBC
