We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Cumberland’s blockchain product development team. This role will be responsible for designing and supporting highly available systems in a technologically diverse stack used to support on-chain application infrastructure globally. Leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Python, Prometheus and Grafana, you will build repeatable and supportable infrastructure that meets the demanding needs of our business.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in designing and supporting highly available systems
2. Continue to push efforts for building out infra on Kubernetes
3. Continue to enhance monitoring infra using Prometheus, Grafana, and other industry standard monitoring solutions
4. Enhance CI/CD processes leveraging declarative configuration tools
5. Help create easily repeatable patterns for local development to migrate to production
6. Support and enhance highly available database architecture
7. Build and enhance tooling used by the DevOps team
8. Research and implement new technologies
9. Consistently challenge the norm and advocate for change

Required Skills Experience & Abilities

1. Prior experience supporting mission critical, high-performance applications
2. Experience with AWS, EKS management, and Terraform
3. Some exposure to Auth0
4. Deploying and supporting applications in Kubernetes
5. Monitoring applications using Prometheus and Grafana
6. Developed CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments
7. Solid Python experience
8. Database support for highly available systems
9. Previous Linux platform support experience
10. Basic knowledge of TLS
11. Demonstrated knowledge of network communications experience, including multicast, gRPC, and websockets
12. Flexibility to take off-hours support calls as needs dictate
13. Ability to learn quickly; a passion for new technology
14. Self-motivated to continually expand skillset and improve supported systems
15. Demonstrated high level of ownership and accountability
16. Ability to handle pressure and time constraints with composure
17. Strong organizational skills, including planning, prioritization, and documentation
18. Prior exposure to cryptoasset infrastructure and on-chain applications is a plus
