Parametric and Device Engineer responsible for parametric test data analysis, pass-fail specification optimization, test structure and methodology development based on device physics knowledge and data analytics skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and perform parametric data trend analysis for Statistical Process Control (SPC) to optimize parametric test flow and the yield of the parametric test.
- Provide feedback to Operations Engineering on identified issues through the correlation of parametric scrap to the causing fabrication processes.
- Optimize parametric test screen limits of Process Control Monitor (PCM) to maximize the process capabilities (Cpk, Ppk) working closely with parametric test engineers and customer representatives.
- Review and/or design PCM test structures, characterize the test structure, provide feedback for accurate and efficient testability of the parametric test.
- Document PCM module information to be used for test program development, communicate with parametric test engineers to get test program with accuracy and efficiency.
- Research and explore new ways of testing both for R&D and production devices in cases where the current methods are not providing accurate data.
- Interact with design layout, test engineering, process integration, and customer representative team to ensure test structures, test specification, and the test results are the most accurate and cost effective.
- Perform other parametric test and device engineering related duties as required.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics
- Device characterization techniques, device layout
