Job Requirements / Description

Parametric and Device Engineer responsible for parametric test data analysis, pass-fail specification optimization, test structure and methodology development based on device physics knowledge and data analytics skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform parametric data trend analysis for Statistical Process Control (SPC) to optimize parametric test flow and the yield of the parametric test.
  • Provide feedback to Operations Engineering on identified issues through the correlation of parametric scrap to the causing fabrication processes.
  • Optimize parametric test screen limits of Process Control Monitor (PCM) to maximize the process capabilities (Cpk, Ppk) working closely with parametric test engineers and customer representatives.
  • Review and/or design PCM test structures, characterize the test structure, provide feedback for accurate and efficient testability of the parametric test.
  • Document PCM module information to be used for test program development, communicate with parametric test engineers to get test program with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Research and explore new ways of testing both for R&D and production devices in cases where the current methods are not providing accurate data.
  • Interact with design layout, test engineering, process integration, and customer representative team to ensure test structures, test specification, and the test results are the most accurate and cost effective.
  • Perform other parametric test and device engineering related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics
  • Device characterization techniques, device layout
  • Semiconductor process integration
  • Data analytics utilizing software/languages: JMP, SQL, R, Pandas, etc.
  • Coding C/C++, Python on Windows/UNIX/Linux environments
  • Reliability testing knowledge is a plus.
  • Problem solving, writing, and communication.

Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Physics or equivalent. Any experience on related field of technology is a plus.
