The Role

We are looking for a Senior Security DevOps Engineer to help us build, automate, and run all aspects of VTs security operations program.

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in Agile Development practices.
2. Participate in software development security threat modeling.
3. Obtain and maintain organizational certifications.
4. Communicate effectively within the InfoSec team and cross-functionally as well as ensure proper documentation.
5. Enhance and update security incident response policies, processes, and procedures.
6. Enhance and maintain security detection, monitoring, and logging technologies and systems.
7. Actively participate in and run cross-functional information security incident response.
8. Carry out digital forensics and work on information security investigations.
9. Carry out regular operational information security tasks.
10. Operate 24x7 security monitoring with a strategic partner.
11. Offer input on strategic security direction and planning.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of Information Security experience with at least two years of operational experience.
2. 5+ years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (AWS and/or Google Cloud preferred).
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills in a variety of situations with various stakeholders.
4. Experience with risk benchmarking and security assessments.
5. Experience with asset management and automation techniques.
6. Working knowledge of multiple programming languages.
7. Experience with Web Application Firewalls and modern web application architectures.
8. Working literacy of versioning, GIT, SVN.
9. Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and other security frameworks.
10. Knowledge of modern application development, best practices, and tooling (IDE, Debugging, SAST/DAST).
11. Experience leading complex information security incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Okta, Expel, Drata, Crowdstrike, Cloudflare.
2. Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript.

Location:

Up to 50% Flexible WFH

Salary Range:

$135,000 to $145,000 annually based on experience.
