Job Requirements / Description
This position is for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. Candidates will be responsible for coordinating the design and production of electronic components, from initial concept to completion. We are offering relocation assistance for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting studies on customer proposals for connector systems
- Developing connector systems based on customer input, production specifications, and test data
- Detailing drawings and coordinating the building of prototype products and testing
- Using computer-assisted engineering and design software
- Ensuring final designs meet functional and performance specifications
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of designs and projects
- Developing manufacturing processes for newly designed parts
- Designing and detailing tools for component production and assembly
- Resolving project-related problems by collaborating with vendors, customers, and internal teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Three to seven years of related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with mechanical design software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
