Network Operations Engineer

LHH is currently searching for a Network Operations Engineer for our long-term client in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, MS SQL, IIS, Apache, Azure SaaS/PaaS, Microsoft 365, VMware, Active Directory, mobile devices (BYOD and corporate-owned), HPE/Aruba, Meraki, VeloCloud, and IoT medical devices.
  
• Execute planning, design, installation, monitoring, and administration of all systems and networks.
  
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of system and network incidents.
  
• Manage disaster recovery and business continuity processes, ensuring adherence to RPOs, RTOs, and SLAs.
  
• Implement configuration changes on network, hardware, and software systems.
  
• Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of infrastructure to support organizational growth.
  
• Conduct capacity planning and analysis.
  

Required Capabilities:

• Experience in managing complex networks, systems, and storage in on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
  
• Proficiency in network management, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and a variety of hardware and software technologies.
  
• Expertise in server and network hardware/software, including MS Solutions, VMware, and Azure Infrastructure As A Service.
  
• At least 3 years of experience in Information Systems, including the installation, configuration, administration, and management of data network hardware and software.
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft MCSA and Cisco CCNP.
  
• Demonstrated competency in network design (LANs, WANs, WLANs, segmentation, gateways, routers, switches, TCP/IP, Ethernet protocols) and system design (OS, CIS hardening, GPO, virtualization, high-availability, backup/restore best practices).
