Plant Inspection Engineer/Static Engineer/Manager
Your new company: An established chemical manufacturer in Kuantan is looking for an Engineer or Manager that is well versed in Plant Inspection for Static Equipment.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of both preventive and predictive inspection/maintenance of the static equipment and piping system of the production equipment within the plant facilities.
You are responsible for performing service inspections, which includes corrosion monitoring of equipment and piping, while carrying out NDE tests to confirm the integrity of the equipment, repairs and modification.
Act as the key technical support for the project team to the relevant standards and provide effective inspection services in order to successfully execute capital projects within the organisation.
Work closely with the maintenance and operations team during shutdowns, turnaround and production targets.
You are responsible for leading in equipment failure analysis and executing necessary modifications and improvements to all static equipment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or oil & gas environment, in a similar role in Plant Inspection or Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with relevant industrial codes (ie. ASME, API, ANSI etc) would be an added advantage.
- Knowledgeable in Plant Inspection techniques such as Radiography, PMI, NDE is necessary
