Software Test Engineer - iWorQ

iWorQ is a leader in local SaaS government software, implementing hundreds of customers each year. We are looking for a software tester to join our software development team. We are looking to fill at least one position with a minimum of 1-year experience in most areas.
Our team focuses on building each other up by sharing knowledge and encouragement through the development process! IWorQ's developers focus on the benefit our solutions offer to our clients, solutions that save people time and enhance their daily experiences. You'll work closely with each developer on the team and be able to receive and share knowledge.
Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, SQL
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and the relevance of different testing stages.
• Familiarity with various testing techniques and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and document findings clearly.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a fast-paced software development environment.

Position Expectations

• Work collaboratively with the software development team to understand testing needs and areas of concern.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Learn and apply the latest testing technologies and methods to enhance test processes.
• Support the development of test plans, including integration, system, and phase test plans.
