Chemical Engineer

We are looking for a competent person for the position of a chemical engineer. The ideal candidate shall ensure that process plants and operational activities meet set KPI productivity, cost, quality, environment, safety, utilisation and efficiency with the given resources.

Responsibilities

1. Propose, design, implement, review and correct plans and procedures to ensure company goals are achieved.
2. Observe processes, conduct research and find ways to increase efficiency and quality.
3. Ensure safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials are followed.
4. Handle the preparation and revision of SOPs, flow diagrams for all process and operational activities to ensure continuous improvement in KPIs.
5. Develop analytical methods and analyse data, prepare and present reports.
6. Perform process simulations and develop process flow diagrams (FFDs), piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and heat and material balances.
7. Use best practices and knowledge of current regulations to maintain safety.
8. Any other duty as assigned.

Qualification Required & Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of practical experience.
3. Proven work experience as a Chemical Engineer or similar role.
4. Knowledgeable in chemical engineering principles and practices.
