Position Overview:

Pantheon Data is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our team for a critical cloud migration project. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of automation testing, including the collection and documentation of test requirements, preparation and execution of automated test processes, and documentation of results to effectively communicate defects for team resolution.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for AWS Cloud applications and system interfaces, covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  2. Collaborate closely with cloud software developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to grasp requirements and define precise test scenarios.
  3. Develop and deploy automated tests utilizing testing frameworks and tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  4. Conduct manual testing as needed to validate software functionality and identify any defects.
  5. Verify and validate data exchanges between applications and systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  6. Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends and patterns, and communicate defects and issues to the development team as needed.
  7. Document test procedures, test cases, and results for traceability and reproducibility of tests.
  8. Engage in code reviews, sprint planning sessions, and other Agile/Scrum proceedings to contribute insights on testability and quality aspects.
  9. Stay current on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, actively sharing knowledge and insights with team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Minimum of 8 years performing application testing to identify and document software defects.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  3. Proven experience as a Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer, focusing on testing applications and systems interfaces.
  4. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Test Complete, or similar products.
  5. Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, PowerShell, Perl, or similar.
  6. Familiarity with SQL and various databases for data validation and manipulation.
  7. Experience working in an AWS cloud environment.
  8. Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex, multi-disciplinary security challenges in cloud environments.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  1. Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
  2. Knowledge of web services and APIs for interface testing.
  3. Experience supporting DoD or federal government clients.
  4. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location:

United States - Remote

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $90,400 - $113,000. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
