UI/UX Web Designer, Lead

The Opportunity:

As a UI/UX Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and user experience efforts across our products. We are seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Designer and Developer, focused on designing and developing engaging and intuitive user experiences that make an impact. You will display a passion for understanding the needs and motivations of end-users and delivering experiences that drive business outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with Product leads, Strategic Integrators, Delivery Managers and End users to deliver scalable interface design patterns to support the creation of a new user experience. You will lead the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, creating intuitive, accessible user experiences for the SaaS, COTS, and Web software applications.
  • Experience with designing short- and long-term UX vision and strategy for products and applications supported.
  • Experience with design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, Lucid or Adobe XD and visual design expertise.
  • Experience with managing processes for gathering user and stakeholder feedback on existing UX and design ideas to iterate on design.
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing user behaviors and needs through qualitative and quantitative user research, such as interviews, field studies, surveys, A/B testing, digital experience monitoring, and usability testing.
  • Experience with applying user-centered design processes that incorporate data, such as real user monitoring (RUM) technologies, user insights, and continuous feedback.
  • Experience with developing and communicating design ideas through prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and other design deliverables.
  • Ability to lead and communicate design concepts across different audiences and varying levels within an organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or Computer Science.

  • Experience working with or creating design systems to ensure consistency and reuse across products.
  • Experience with user research techniques and methodologies.
  • Ability to display an online portfolio of work samples highlighting expertise in UI/UX design and front-end development.
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking skills.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
