Overview
Epstein is seeking a licensed Water/Wastewater Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years practical experience in wastewater treatment facility design and proven success as a leader on projects. We are looking for a strong technical leader with project management experience including schedule, budget and cost control. The capability to coordinate with other building design disciplines is important. The company is looking for the right person to manage our well-qualified team, interact with clients, and work as one with the rest of the management team at Epstein.
General Responsibilities
- Plan and design water/wastewater projects. Projects may include designs of wastewater collection system sewers, lift stations, force mains, treatment facilities, booster stations, and/or studies of wastewater and water systems.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, government agencies, utility providers or other outside entities.
- Identify applicable codes, standards or other design requirements.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- 5-15 years of successful project engineering in the design of wastewater facilities
- Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in engineering systems and related design principles
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal Codes and regulations related to wastewater treatment and environmental protection including IBC and ACI.
- Strong analytical skills; knowledge of analysis methods
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills
- Considerable experience in dealing with clients, contractors and vendors
- Experience with REVIT, Civil 3D, GIS and hydraulic modeling tools
