We have an opportunity for a motivated Electrical CAD Designer/Operator to join our Electrical practice in Long Beach, California!
Responsibilities
- This individual will primarily be responsible for: designing and producing sets of plans for electrical systems including, electrical vehicle charging and building electrical
- Participate on project teams in an active production role
- Participate in project meetings internally
- Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines
- Perform quality work that promotes client retention
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred)
- 3+ years of design experience in Engineering, electrical is a plus
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD
- Understanding of the National Electrical code, other NFPA codes/standards, energy codes is a plus
- Building Information Modeling (BIM-Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of Microstation experience is a plus
- Electrical power, lighting and fire alarm design experience
- The ability to work independently or in team environment effectively
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and a desire to learn
- Ability to work independently and with a team
