As one of the world’s largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership.RESPONSIBILITIESAuthor and develop structured technical content for web, app, and print delivery.Update and restructure existing content to ensure it is relevant, consistent, and easily findable by knowledge bases and search engines (SEO).Utilize the Company’s CCMS, terminology database, authoring plugin, and style guides to ensure content consistency and a corporate voice.Collaborate with multiple departments to gather information needed to develop content and build consensus throughout the content development process and product lifecycle.Clearly communicate complex technical information and safety information to audiences of all comprehension levels.Develop and maintain a strong working and technical knowledge of company products and services and an understanding of company approved standards.Provide leadership and guidance to other departments on current processes and requirements to ensure content alignment with governance models.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociate degree in Technical Communications or related field with experience in technical writing. Skilled in visual and written information development. Good written/verbal communications, organizational and listening skills, and strong in grammar rules. Experience in authoring technical content for a Global market would be a plus. Knowledge of DITA/XML content authoring and component content management systems (CCMS). Effective research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience with various content creation tools, such as, oXygen Author/Editor, Acrolinx, , and InDesign. Also, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, FrameMaker, and PTC IsoDraw, and other multimedia production software.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS2-4 years' related experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentOccasional travel (0-5%)Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workdayWork Authorization:Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
