Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionResponsible for customer-facing activities in the pre-sales scoping process.Lead solutioning for custom-designed products and services.Collaborate and bridge the gap between customers, sales, sales operations, and other internal departments.Interface with customers, identify requirements and needs to develop differentiated solutions.Collaborate with sales to provide technical support, secure design wins, and drive revenue growth.Prepare and design customer solutions based on application requirements.Perform on and off-site customer consultation when requested.Present concepts to customers and/or sales channels in support of pre-sales activities.Support quoting activities with product configurations, cost analysis, and specification review.Assist in project management ensuring timely follow-up and follow-through on all assigned tasks and projects.Travel to local customers’ sites 10%.Hard SkillsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline required2-4 years’ experience in application solutions (Co/ops or internships suffice)Proficient in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks) and 2D CAD SoftwarePrevious experience working with customers (Nice to haves)Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in North Canton, Ohio.Work EnvironmentOffice environment. Occasionally visit the manufacturing floor but will mainly be at their desk. Fairly small engineering team.
