Position Summary
Walmart Global Tech is looking for a highly skilled Staff Machine Learning engineer to join our team of data scientists and engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining machine learning models, as well as experience in working with large datasets. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to design, develop, and maintain software for various machine learning models and model pipelines using cloud technologies with Python, BigQuery, and Spark. The candidate will also be responsible for working with data scientists to integrate machine learning innovations and algorithms into production systems.
About Team: E2E Applied AI Machine Learning Engineering
On the Item and Inventory team, we ensure our customers get their orders when and where they want them, in a frictionless, predictable manner. We create reusable SaaS products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation.
What You'll Do
- Develop new features, maintain and contribute to Walmart's Machine Learning development tools strategy.
- Lead large-scale machine learning development projects by reviewing requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; developing code; communicating status to team and stakeholders.
- Deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
- Work with other engineers to integrate machine learning models into products and services.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Alternatively, 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience in creating inclusive digital experiences.
