Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure optimal productivity and professional growth.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of various engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed design plans and blueprints, ensuring they meet all necessary specifications and regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and production, to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering department.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of engineering projects, making necessary adjustments to ensure their success.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into the company's operations where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. A Master's degree or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering management role.
- Proven experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team of engineers.
- Excellent technical acumen, with a deep understanding of engineering principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound technical decisions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be considered an advantage.
