JOB TITLE: Digital Design Engineer III
LOCATION: 100% Remote
DURATION: 6 month contract
PAY RANGE: $84-94/hour

COMPANY: Our client is a Fortune 500 multi-national technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.
Role Mandate: The individual will be designing and integrating signal processing blocks, such as FIR and CIC filters, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency by fine-tuning the filter coefficients. The individual will also utilize MATLAB and the Signal Processing Toolbox for designing, simulating, and analyzing digital signal processing blocks SNR, BER, and increase the performance of signal processing components.

The work typically involves designing/making blocks that align with the spec. The individual will be working on things that can potentially change how the work will work in the next 5-10 years! Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Engage in hardware design and IP integration at the subsystem level, ensuring compatibility and functionality within the overall system architecture.
- Develop RTL using Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, and High-Level Synthesis (HLS) for various design applications.
- Design and implement datapath hardware accelerators to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Use tools such as VC static Spyglass for Lint, CDC (Clock Domain Crossing), and RDC (Reset Domain Crossing) checks to ensure design robustness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any errors or warnings in design integration, applying necessary constraints or waivers to meet design specifications.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes in all design and integration tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with physical design and verification team members, contributing to team efforts and project success.
- Analog-Digital Communication and various IO interfaces.
- Achieve AC timing closure in designs.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5-10 years of digital design experience
- Strong hardware MATLAB experience, ability to demonstrate
- Running Lint/RDC/CDC
- Experience designing blocks
- Resume must showcase project work
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports
- Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)
