A Global Government Contracting Company is looking for a dynamic Staff Software Systems Engineer to join the team in Sunnyvale, California.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and deploying solutions to maintain smooth operation of virtualized computer system environments.
- Lead technical development projects and hardware refresh efforts.
- Providing overall on-site maintenance and support of the Unix and Windows systems.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for issue resolution.
- Performing Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, and System Maintenance.
- Creating and maintaining user, administrator, and service accounts.
- Fine tuning system performance, maintaining system documentation, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space.
Looking for following levels:
- Level 3 (E3): 5-8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree in a related discipline with 3-6 years of experience.
- Level 4 (E2): 9-13 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree in a related discipline with 7-11 years of experience.
- Level 5 (E1): 14+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree in a related discipline with 12+ years of experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge/experience in Linux, RHEL, AIX, Solaris, or equivalent.
- Must be able to support a 24x7 operations environment - System troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills - Ability to work as a member of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree is desired but not required. Can exchange a minimum of 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
