What do we need?
Our team needs a reliable CNC Machinist for 3 rd Shift.
What will you do?
Ensure alignment with AE ownership plans, policies, priorities and procedures.
Work with controlled CNC programs and maintain their integrity and controls.
Setup and operate CNC mills and lathes including 4 th axis machining and live tooling.
Setup CNC machines according to schedule including loading and unloading machining fixtures.
Safely operate crane to move fixtures.
Locate fixtures properly and set coordinate system zero point.
Load and unload tools in holders at specified depth manually measured or using a pre-setter.
Replace worn or broken tools as necessary to support production requirements.
Troubleshoot and edit CNC programs (offsets) as necessary to meet dimensional requirements.
Ensure that any changes always produce a robust manufacturing process for safety, quality, timing, testing specifications, tolerancing, statistical capability and budget.
Apply mathematical concepts to complete job responsibilities.
Calculate and optimize speeds and feeds to maximize efficiency.
Position work holding fixture, tooling and work piece with clamps, shims, plates, parallels, etc.
Measure work holding fixture, tooling and work piece using custom gages, CMM’s, height gages, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, pins, thread gages, dial indicators, telescoping gages, etc.
Provide timely communication on all prototype or production runs, including concerns and solutions, to manufacturing, quality and engineering.
Collaborate with management/ technical personnel to produce efficient programs and processes.
Run production machines to produce quality parts at production rate.
Run multiple parts simultaneously to maximize productivity.
Handle large and small parts.
Offer ideas for continuous improvements and implement.
Report to 3 rd Shift Supervisor.

** What do you need to be successful? **
3-5 years’ experience as a CNC mill-lathe machinist
3-5 years’ experience in a mid to high volume repetitive manufacturing environment.
_High level understanding of G & M codes, machine processes and controllers. Ability to edit programs online and offline. _
The ability to operate with a team mindset including text/comments so any programmer at any time can easily interpret program changes.
Ability to operate independently.
Great attention to detail, exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, communicate and act on information.
Strong communication skills and co nfidence escalating issues.
A teamwork mentality in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
A strong sense of urgency.
