The International Monetary Fund has an immediate opening for a Data Management Analyst/Sr. Data Management Analyst (e-learning Developer) to support its online learning program. The IMF provides training to member country officials on topics spanning from macroeconomic analysis to monetary and fiscal policy, macro-financial linkages, balance of payments issues, financial markets, and institutions, as well as statistical and legal frameworks in these areas. The IMF’s online program facilitates training for IMF member country officials through massive open online courses (MOOCs) and other online learning modalities.

Description:

Under the general supervision of ICDIP management, the ideal candidate will have a background in content development and eLearning best practices to support the development of engaging interactive eLearning assets for IMF’s online program. The selected candidate will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  1. Build, organize and test content and multimedia assets in Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle.
  2. Collaborate with the instructional design and multimedia team to create interactive online learning solutions and visual/graphic design assets.
  3. Build, redesign, and update SCORM compliant courses using course authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline).
  4. Implement quality assurance and validation procedures prior to the launch of online courses and monitor participant progress and engagement after the launch.
  5. Support subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers in design, development, and delivery of effective eLearning products, such as microlearning content, blended and online courses.
  6. Other multimedia and eLearning course development responsibilities as deemed necessary for the business.

The selected candidate will be part of the team delivering the IMF’s online program and is expected to contribute to the overall work program of the team and the division.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in learning, instructional design, eLearning production and/or multimedia or a similar discipline is required.
  2. Two years of proven work experience as an eLearning content developer is preferred.
  3. Familiarity with multimedia authoring tools and software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and other audio/video editing software.
  4. Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
  5. Proven experience working with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) to create, organize and test course materials in the LMS, using built-in tools or external authoring tools and generate course reports.
  6. Proficiency in web design and development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and LaTeX markup is highly desirable.
  7. Initiative and attention to detail; ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects effectively; ability to work under pressure both autonomously and in a team environment.
  8. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

This is a one-year contractual appointment with the International Monetary Fund. Contractual appointments are renewable for up to four years of cumulative service, pending continuous business need and incumbent's performance.
