Description
Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer II to join our industry-leading, cloud computing team for a very long-term program that is soon to be awarded. This is a fully remote role and the duties and responsibilities are below, but not limited to:
- Builds, scripts, and tests Compliance as Code to apply security configuration(s) to cloud resources upon (or after) deployment.
- Writes CaC and IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services.
- Provides cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.
- Secures cloud service and application resources according to industry standards and cloud provider best practices, and collects and provides evidence for security baseline adherence.
- Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of IaC when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of IaC intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Works within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Candidate must be US Citizen.
- Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance at minimum.
- Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ or other 8570 IAT Level II certification (or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date).
Candidate must have 4+ year(s) experience with the following:
- CI/CD or DevOps operations role in an AWS or Azure environment or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (preferred).
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Jenkins, Ansible and RMS in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- CI/CD pipelines for solutions delivery using services, and technologies along with well-architected framework best practices.
- Architect and engineer automated Infrastructure to accelerate service delivery.
Desired Skills
- Architecture, engineering, and services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Manage Infrastructure as Code CI/CD pipelines in standard tools like GitLab/GitHub.
- Automate the creation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) infrastructures using industry standard tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines with other industry standard development and security tools such as Sonatype, Nexus, Veracode, Aqua, and Contrast Security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues.
- Communicate with designated personnel by phone and email concerning the details of the issue, expected resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Have the ability to research problems and contact and escalate issues with or other third-party hardware/software providers.
- Software development lifecycle that includes development, staging, and production.
- Native cloud management and governance tools.
- Agile processes and automating the collection of artifacts from Agile documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Working with customers to understand their requirements and deliver superior solutions.
