Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology, Finance, and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in Minnesota in search of a highly talented Software Engineer for their high performance computing group.
Job Summary
As a software engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team developing and supporting mission applications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and support mission applications for high performance computing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges
- Apply advanced computing software and hardware knowledge to create innovative solutions
- Contribute to embedded or systems development, fielding, sustainment, and lifecycle support
- Leverage diverse software languages, hardware expertise, and industry best practices
- Apply advanced mathematics and physics concepts to solve technical problems
I. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field (required)
- Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of job-related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree
- Experience in high performance computing, embedded systems, or advanced computing applications
- Agile development experience (preferred)
- Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (required at time of hire)
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills in advanced computing systems, hardware, and software
- Expertise in applying technology to solve challenges creatively
- Experience with hardware specifications and low-level software solutions
- Proficiency in Assembly, C/C++, Python, Rust, Embedded Linux, or other relevant programming languages
- Knowledge of general programming principles and optimization strategies
- Development and testing skills in high performance computing applications or advanced computing systems
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Do you currently hold or are you able to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance?
- Describe your experience with high performance computing or advanced computing systems.
- What programming languages are you proficient in, and how have you applied them in your previous work?
