Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology, Finance, and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in Minnesota in search of a highly talented Software Engineer for their high performance computing group.
Job Summary
As a software engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team developing and supporting mission applications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support mission applications for high performance computing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges
  • Apply advanced computing software and hardware knowledge to create innovative solutions
  • Contribute to embedded or systems development, fielding, sustainment, and lifecycle support
  • Leverage diverse software languages, hardware expertise, and industry best practices
  • Apply advanced mathematics and physics concepts to solve technical problems
Qualifications:
I. Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field (required)
  • Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
II. Experience:
  • 5+ years of job-related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree
  • Experience in high performance computing, embedded systems, or advanced computing applications
  • Agile development experience (preferred)
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
  • Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (required at time of hire)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills in advanced computing systems, hardware, and software
  • Expertise in applying technology to solve challenges creatively
  • Experience with hardware specifications and low-level software solutions
  • Proficiency in Assembly, C/C++, Python, Rust, Embedded Linux, or other relevant programming languages
  • Knowledge of general programming principles and optimization strategies
  • Development and testing skills in high performance computing applications or advanced computing systems
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
