Chief Engineer

The Chief Engineer is responsible for leading, supporting, and directing all property maintenance department operations. Maintain property appearance, equipment, painting, plumbing, and basic systems operations. Identify life/safety equipment and procedures and report any concerns to the General Manager (GM).

Responsibilities:

1. Effectively manage the department budget, capital expenditures, and engineering-related objectives
2. Hire, train, schedule, and manage maintenance staff
3. Ensure a safe environment that protects the assets, guests, and all hotel associates
4. Ensure all equipment is maintained
5. Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with all codes and regulations

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent GED
2. Exceptional follow-through; strong organizational skills, and time management skills required
3. 3-5 years of hotel or building maintenance or engineering experience required
4. When required, be available at the hotel during bad weather conditions
5. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects

Compensation:

$45,000 - $55,000 yearly
