PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR FACTORS IN EVALUATING PERFORMANCE :
Perform routine quality engineering work requiring limited exercise of judgment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform specific and limited portions of total assignment of an experienced quality engineer, using prescribed methods. Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
Supervisor and/or experienced quality engineer screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work. Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Significant departures from guidelines must be cleared with the quality manager.
Document work and prepare technical notes and test reports as required.
Maintain accurate quality records and documents as required by customers and/or other sources.
Maintain a smooth production flow through the Quality inspection departments to ensure meeting customer and Company schedules.
Observe O'Fallon Casting code of conduct, safety and quality principles.
Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS :
Degree in an engineering curriculum and 0-1 year of applicable experience, or 5-8 years of investment casting industry experience.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability in engineering principles and discipline, conducting and analyzing experiments, and preparing technical reports.
Good organizational and communicative skills.
Computer literacy.
