You Are: The ideal candidate for the Field Applications Engineer role at Synopsys is a highly experienced professional with a minimum of 8+ years in the field of circuit design and debugging, particularly in analog or mixed-signal circuits. You possess an in-depth understanding of SPICE netlist formats and have hands-on experience with transistor level simulation and waveform tools. Your technical expertise is complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills, making you an effective liaison between sales staff and customers.
You are adept at using your technical knowledge to provide insightful product demonstrations and consultations, ensuring that potential and existing customers can fully leverage Synopsys' SPICE simulation products. Your familiarity with basic scripting adds another layer of competence, enabling you to customize solutions to meet specific customer needs. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide technical service to customers, focusing on simulating various designs including analog, memory, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Use in-depth product knowledge to assist sales staff and customers through presentations and demonstrations.
- Assess potential applications of Synopsys products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications.
- Manage customer accounts and work with cross-functional teams to serve Synopsys products required for SPICE simulation.
- Create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/systems.
- Build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility and often conduct product demos for clients.
- Offer consultation to prospective users, assessing product capabilities and validating solutions.
- Provide post-sales technical service, including implementation, training, and maintenance of company products/applications/solutions.
