Riber, Inc. in Hillsborough, NJ seeks Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites to install, set up and train customers on Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) systems. Perform onsite upgrades and servicing on MBE systems and Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) components. Automate installation and transfer adjustments for production systems. Troubleshoot and correct processes such as pumping, PID regulations, Rheed, robotic, beam, bearing and measuring belt tension. Remote technical customer support through emails, phone and video calls. Assemble UHV products. Build new products and repair equipment under warranty or paid repair. Write technical procedures for internal purposes. Define build of materials for custom projects. Negotiate new contracts, contract renewals and system sales. Support Sales team as equipment expert for product definition. Train and support Junior engineers. Position requires travel to client sites within the United States for up to 50% of the time annually. The length of time spent at each client site depend on client requirements and the service level agreements entered into between the client and Riber, Inc. Typical time spent at one client site can range from 3 - 15 days. This position requires travel to France at minimum 2-3x annually for training purposes.
