Responsibilities A Typical Day Might Include: Assignments are selected to develop professional work knowledge and abilities using prescribed methods and standard techniques. Apply academic knowledge and training attained for the engineering and design for in the use of various manufacturing building materials and building systems. Perform a variety of routine engineering tasks requiring basic application of engineering fundamentals with increasing responsibility based on performance. Work under close supervision; receive specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and expected results with opportunity to exercise judgment. Draft interpretation of own design into completed working drawings and/or programs. Will be assisted by a team but assumes no responsibility for direction of others - generally works under the direction of others. Performs design work on CADD in addition to PLC and HMI programming work. Develops basic knowledge of the discipline's codes. Travel required. Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments. Qualifications Qualifications You'll Need on Day One: Engineering experience in consulting or manufacturing environments required. Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required. EIT preferred, with little or no practical working experience. Interest in PLC and HMI programming in addition to performing controls design work. Prior experience with Allen Bradley, Ignition, or Wonderware is a plus. Previous MicroStation / AutoCad experience desired. Instrumentation and Controls Experience a plus. Good computer and communications skills required. Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
