Facilities Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our data center operations, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. This role involves remote and smart hands support, monitoring daily issues or requests, and collaborating with vendors on critical infrastructure maintenance and issues.

Key Responsibilities:

->Remote and Smart Hands Support:

• Provide remote and on-site hands-on technical support within the data center.
• Perform hardware installations, decommissioning, and troubleshooting as needed.

->Monitoring and Issue Resolution:

• Monitor tickets and boards for daily issues or requests.
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues reported by users.
• Maintain detailed logs of activities and resolutions.

->Critical Infrastructure Knowledge:

• Possess working knowledge of critical infrastructure components, including power, cooling, and network systems.
• Facilitate and participate in routine maintenance and issue resolution with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with data center standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a data center or similar technical environment.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Data Center Technician Certification) are a plus.

Additional Information:

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment.
• Background check and security clearance may be required.
