Hardware Engineer Level 2Location: Orlando, FL (32825)Duration: 6+ monthsCreates CNC programs for sheet metal punch, determine raw material stock sizes of various materials.Review engineering drawings/tolerances to support ideal fabrication processesResearch tooling and process enhancements for improved efficienciesCreate CAD models for CAM programsDesign and develop drill templates and weld fixturesCreate/maintain work instructions using SAPCreate stencil programs for marking.Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.Collaborates and provides guidance to other functions (including Quality, Production Control, Manufacturing, and Hardware Eng.) regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Skill/Experience/EducationMandatory:Experience with one of the following is mandatory, more than one desired:MasterCAM, Striker, AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks PolyworksCreating manufacturing/machining work instructions based on the drawings and/or models.Providing technical guidance and timely problem resolution in support of machine shop operators to facilitate performance.Supporting the investigation of root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvementApplying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields.Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.May be required to develop cost estimates in support of proposals.DesiredKnowledge of material properties, science, and behaviors for application of additive technologiesEffective interpersonal communications with proven ability to lead, critical thinking, acts strategically, build organizational capability while achieving resultsFamiliarity with Training and Simulation Products for Military DoD applicationsFamiliarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material)Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt certificationButler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
