AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.


Working for Annapurna Labs is thrilling, fast-paced, and a constant learning experience. As an ENA Firmware SW development engineer, you will be responsible for developing features for Annapurna Labs next-generation hardware, to enable high network bandwidth and packets-per-seconds (PPS) performance, with consistently low latency. You will work to bring up a broad selection of instance types, optimized for various use cases, to suit each of our customer’s needs, such as varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking capabilities. As an ENA Firmware SW development engineer, you will play a key role in shaping architecture definitions and SW system designs, and help to resolve complex customer issues. You will continuously evolve technically, while working to monitor AWS cloud health, maintain high quality standards, develop highly-optimized code, and provide exceptional customer satisfaction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of professional experience in SW development
- Strong hands-on experience in C development, with a mindset for developing optimized code

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Multi-core / multi-threaded coding experience
- Hands-on experience developing Firmware and/or user space drivers for embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with low-level SW development and HW devices
- Experience with real-time performance profiling and optimization
- Hands-on experience developing in a Linux environment
- Experience with networking protocols
