Video: What We Do
We are seeking an experienced Inspector II position to join our Chromalloy Quality San Diego team. The essential functions of this position are:
- Performs in-process or final inspection on materials, detail components, hardware, and assemblies to ensure product compliance to Customer and regulatory requirements by using a variety of measuring equipment.
- Sets up, operates, inspects, tests, and adjusts new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs and fixtures for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilizes inspection and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparator, ruler, meters, etc.) to verify products to specification.
- Capable of performing the various visual and dimensional inspections on the various part types.
- Completes incoming inspection to ensure production is completing processes correctly as defined in the production work instructions.
- Identifies Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma opportunities to support business goals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of aerospace manufacturing practices, procedures, inspection methodologies, and techniques in an AS9100 QMS environment. Certify visual acuity to standard, per regulations.
