Inside the Role
The Driver Experience HMI Implementation Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Engineer who will be responsible for testing HMI ECUs for Daimler Truck vehicles including diesel, fuel cell, and battery electric along with conventional and autonomous operated vehicles.

Position offers a starting salary range of $82,000 - $104,500 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA
- Verification & validation of the HMI ECU implementations (mainly software focused)
- Analysis of issues, provide root causes
- Creation and documentation of test cases
- Documentation and reporting of test results
- Setup and maintaining of test benches
- Support HiL, vehicle testing, production facilities
- Support HMI ECU component owners
- Work closely with global Daimler Truck business units
- Plan, execute and track tasks related work packages, schedules, and collaboration with (global) stakeholders
- Apply proven engineering principles, industry knowledge and the knowledge of latest technology and methods
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 2-4 years of professional experience in job field (testing of ECUs)
- Experiences with Vector tools
- Knowledge of ECU interfaces
- Must be well organized, able to handle multiple detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of DT management
- Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills - oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- HMI ECU development/testing
- Programming Language
- Version management and configuration tools Subversion, GIT, Jira, Jenkins
- Languages: English (fluent); German (Intermediate) preferred; additional language(s) appreciated
