FANUC America Corporation (FAC) provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable, and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic Senior Engineer (CNC) to deliver comprehensive product and application support for the esteemed ROBODRILL CNC Machine product line, encompassing new product launches and introductions.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Understand and support the ROBODRILL product on behalf of FANUC America Corp.
- Support the proposal process to successfully apply our product to high-production environments within the automotive arena (Time studies, sequence operation, tooling lists, fixturing concepts).
- Utilize the ROBODRILL to execute cutting-edge processes that support customer needs.
- Create material to equip the ROBODRILL Sales Department with the necessary information to succeed against competition.
- Develop guidelines for existing and new ROBODRILL applications (Installation, peripheral equipment, software, maintenance, and repair).
- Develop and support practical in-house ROBODRILL demonstrations catered towards machine capability and with a focus on market objectives (Programming, tooling, fixturing, testing).
- Create demonstrations that will advance the ROBODRILL product on the world stage (trade show support, storyboard creation, customer interfacing).
- Create spare part numbers and Bills of Material for ROBODRILL products (New and existing).
- Understand product limitations and manage resolutions to critical issues (Lab/Mfg. floor, field failures, customer runoff, debugging).
- Keep a professional dialogue with FANUC Headquarters (Japan) regarding the ROBODRILL product (Customer feedback, engineering recommendations, field failures, etc.).
- Provide technical support and training to various entities of FANUC America Corp., including Service and Training Departments, FANUC Engineers, Integrators, and Customers.
- Attend or host project/trade show kickoff meetings to identify preliminary areas of product concern.
- Occasionally meet with ROBODRILL training and service organizations to understand issues and concerns related to the product.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with CNC Machines with demonstrated experience in CNC machining, tooling, work holding, and metrology.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the machine tool industry (standards, practices, and machinery).
- Proficient in CNC CAM programming.
- Understanding of FANUC CNC systems and operations.
- Direct work experience with a CNC Machine Tool Builder.
- Working knowledge of FANUC robots.
- CAD experience.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
