Job Title: Junior Manufacturing/Project Engineer (Multiple Specializations Available)
Locations: Middletown, CT 06023 or Windsor, CT 06095 or East Hartford, CT 06108
Pay Rate: $28.00-35.00/hour, direct, full-time position with benefits

Job Description:
Belcan is seeking highly motivated Project Engineers for positions in Middletown, CT, Windsor, CT and East Hartford, CT. These roles are full-time, direct positions with benefits, designed for high-performing, high-energy individuals with technical backgrounds. The ideal candidates will have strong customer-facing skills and be able to manage various engineering and project tasks effectively.

Job Duties can include:

1. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes
2. Create and maintain Work Instruction Packages
3. Conduct readiness reviews and manage manufacturing readiness activities
4. Evaluate and implement process improvements
5. Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
6. Design and evaluate tools and fixtures for production
7. Participate in cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives
8. Act as a liaison between engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
9. Interface daily with customers to support project needs and resolve issues
10. Manage project tasks, schedules, and resources
11. Provide status updates, prepare reports, and deliver presentations
12. Develop and track project metrics and trends

Core Qualifications:

1. AS or BS Degree in an engineering, STEM, or relevant discipline or equivalent manufacturing & project engineering experience
2. 1+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, project engineering, industrial engineering or relevant field. Internship experience will be considered.
3. Strong self-management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
4. Outgoing personality with excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills (both written and verbal)
5. Ability to absorb information quickly, ask insightful questions, and deliver positive outcomes
6. Proficiency in Excel
7. US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

1. Blueprint reading, data analytics, and comfortability/familiarity with machine shop environments
2. AutoCAD experience
3. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality methodologies, PPAP
4. Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
5. Previous exposure to SAP, SharePoint, SmartSheets, NX, or TEAMCENTER
