Job Description:
As an Associate Design Verification Engineer at ADI, you will play a critical role in verifying the design of digital, analog, and mixed-signal products before they reach the tape-out stage. You will work on developing and enhancing test benches, conducting verification, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance and reliability requirements. This role will also involve using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and scripting to create automated environments for verification tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the design process.

This position includes formal training and mentorship, with opportunities to grow your expertise in design verification methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test benches for verifying digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs.
  • Perform verification using EDA tools, ensuring designs meet functional and performance targets.
  • Identify and resolve design issues early in the verification cycle to improve quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project timelines and effective verification processes.
  • Conduct coverage analysis and report findings to improve verification completeness.

Skills You Will Need to be Successful:

  • Test Bench Development: Basic understanding of developing test benches for mixed-signal product verification.
  • EDA Tools: Familiarity with EDA tools to support design verification.
  • Issue Identification / Problem Resolution: Skills in identifying design issues early in the verification cycle.
  • Mixed-Signal Testing: Foundational understanding of mixed-signal design and testing principles.
  • SystemVerilog / UVM: Introductory knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM for verification environments.
  • Scripting: Basic ability to create scripts (Perl, Python) for automating verification tasks.
  • Verilog RTL: Proficiency in using Verilog for Register Transfer Level (RTL) design and verification.
  • Debugging: Developing skills in debugging design and verification issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op experience.
  • Basic understanding of verification methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
