Are you ready to go beyond?Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to represent the P&W Team at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ as a Field Service Engineer (FSE). This position is a customer facing role in a high visibility and team-oriented environment.What You Will Do:Support F-35B/F135 operations to include, systems, tooling, material, and processes. The FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft, and squadron personnel.Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption.Work closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, ALIS teams to assist Marine Fighter-Attack Squadron (VMFA)-211, (VMFA)-225, (VMFA)-122, (VMFA)-214, Marine Test & Evaluation Squadron (VMX)-1 and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS)-13 Supply Department in troubleshooting and resolution of emerging customer issues and maintain flexibility to resolve constantly changing customer priorities.Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W, Rolls-Royce, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and Lockheed Martin. Representative will be responsible for coordinating field issues with P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management.Comply with Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and participating in Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) initiatives.Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments to contested areas. Domestic and International Travel, as well as Shipboard Operations are required and part of the team concept. Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Qualifications You Must Have:A bachelor’s degree is preferred in an engineering or related technical field, experience in lieu of a degree will be accepted if the candidate has 9+ years of aviation maintenance experience.Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments to contested areas. Domestic and International Travel, as well as Shipboard Operations are required and part of the team concept. Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.5+ years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is desired. This includes supply chain management and Support Equipment management. Background in ITAR/ITC is desired for this assignment.Candidate must possess a US Govt. Secret Clearance or have the ability to secure one for position requirements. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
