Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Determines systems specification based on business requirements, working with business end users to elicit proper solution design.
2. Works to integrate/implement systems solutions working with development, quality, and release teams.
3. Performs tests to ensure the quality of solution as a part of the delivery process.
4. Produces systems delivery specifications, technical systems design, user procedure documents, training documents, and rollout procedures as applicable.
5. Works to self-manage projects to budget/estimate and hit deadlines set forth by project leads/managers.
6. Provides systems analysis support for production issues when needed.
7. Works closely with Business groups and analyze clients requirements and write systems design documents.

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, and/or equivalent work experience 4 to +6 years financial services experience a plus.
2. Strong Financial domain knowledge required.
3. Extensive Knowledge on Industry trends and Message frameworks and standards like ISO15022, ISO2022, Derivative, DTCC.
4. Strong Functional experience on Product life cycle especially in Financial Domain is a plus.
5. Strong Technical Design Documentation is a huge plus.
6. Strong SME knowledge on applications financial or related is a plus.
7. Ability to Design Solutions using different technologies and articulating the Requirements effectively and efficiently both verbally and written is a must.
8. Very Strong Analytical skills required.
9. Strong understanding of different Messaging standards like Swift, EDI, JSON, FIX.
10. Good understanding of current Technology architectures like Open source, AWS, Azure is key.
11. Strong skills to Create Technical Documentation (BSD, UML diagrams).
12. Strong Product Analysis and Product Design skills is a plus.
13. SDLC Experience is a plus.
14. 2+ SWIFT and other Messaging formats (XML,FpmL,FIX,SWIFTNET) required.
15. Strong SQL experience is a must.
16. Programming skills like Java, Python or Scripting languages a Plus.
17. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
18. Problem solving/analytical skills is key.
19. Basic understanding and applies knowledge of the Project Life Cycle.
20. Detail-oriented and out of the box analytical thinking a plus.
21. Technology driven business skills.
22. Experience in Waterfall and Agile Methodologies is required.
23. Experience in creating workflow diagrams ex: wire frames, UML, Visio.
24. Experience with Application development Analysis is a plus.
25. Ability to efficiently/effectively use Microsoft Word and Excel, Visio, Wire frames.
26. Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office).
