Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: West Chester, OH (Cincinnati area)
Work Arrangement: Onsite initially with the potential for 2-3 days of remote work once acclimated.

This role will be a part of our Modernization Team providing unique custom solutions for customers. The Senior Mechanical Engineer position is accountable for performing a variety of engineering work related to Low Voltage and Medium Voltage power distribution equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, switches, breakers, panel boards, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage switchgear or switchboard assemblies/systems and related equipment.
  • Coordinate with various engineering and plant teams to develop solutions within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Develop Bills of Material based on new product design requirements.
  • Create engineering reports/submittals that clearly address the technical needs of a project.
  • Perform site visits to collect data for necessary new developments as needed.
  • Develop an understanding of company processes as well as applicable codes and standards.
  • Incorporate digital footprint into our new solutions that Services will offer.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Design, preferably in the electromechanical field.

Proven experience in the following areas:

  • Manufacturing or Product Design/Development experience.
  • Power Distribution Product.
  • Design of metal-clad enclosures.
  • Design experience using 3D CAD tools (We use Creo/PDM).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on design and project work.
  • Apply problem-solving approaches to develop solutions within the scope of a project.
  • Proficiency with Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Customer-focused attitude (capacity to listen to clients, understand client needs).
  • Management of overall project delivery and production/installation schedule.
