Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: West Chester, OH (Cincinnati area)
Work Arrangement: Onsite initially with the potential for 2-3 days of remote work once acclimated.
This role will be a part of our Modernization Team providing unique custom solutions for customers. The Senior Mechanical Engineer position is accountable for performing a variety of engineering work related to Low Voltage and Medium Voltage power distribution equipment, including switchgear, switchboards, switches, breakers, panel boards, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage switchgear or switchboard assemblies/systems and related equipment.
- Coordinate with various engineering and plant teams to develop solutions within the scope of assigned projects.
- Develop Bills of Material based on new product design requirements.
- Create engineering reports/submittals that clearly address the technical needs of a project.
- Perform site visits to collect data for necessary new developments as needed.
- Develop an understanding of company processes as well as applicable codes and standards.
- Incorporate digital footprint into our new solutions that Services will offer.
Qualifications:
- 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Design, preferably in the electromechanical field.
Proven experience in the following areas:
- Manufacturing or Product Design/Development experience.
- Power Distribution Product.
- Design of metal-clad enclosures.
- Design experience using 3D CAD tools (We use Creo/PDM).
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on design and project work.
- Apply problem-solving approaches to develop solutions within the scope of a project.
- Proficiency with Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Customer-focused attitude (capacity to listen to clients, understand client needs).
- Management of overall project delivery and production/installation schedule.
