ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology is seeking an Cyber Security Engineer - ACAS to support our Cybersecurity Support Services (CSSS) contract with the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).

The successful candidate will have experience in Information Technology systems configuration within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the ability to deploy, maintain, and support the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) suite of applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support ACAS applications that meet a variety of security objectives for the DHRA/DMDC cloud infrastructure and enterprise. Collaborate with an experienced team to actively monitor, report, and maintain network security posture as prescribed by the CSSP Security Plan. Work closely with the DMDC ISSM and ISSOs to ensure that ACAS tools are up to date and compliant.
  • Support the Cybersecurity Manager and PMO in cybersecurity efforts related to the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) suite of applications and their deployment at DHRA/DMDC.
  • Provide understanding, knowledge, techniques, or expertise in assured compliance.
  • Coordinate with IT Operations, Customers, and other team members.
  • Design and develop solutions for deploying, maintaining, and supporting the ACAS suite.
  • Manage vulnerability policies, custom alerts, scan policies, and tickets.
  • Cross-reference weekly IAVM compliance with ACAS scanning results.
  • Configure and set up policies, write quality code, perform root cause analysis using standard tools, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist with cybersecurity reviews, including generation of security artifacts, such as security plans, POA&M, and security CONOPS.
  • Cross-train in various cyber tools to adapt to evolving threats.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 6+ years of relevant experience in information technology or cybersecurity.
  • Understands ACAS properties/best practice processes and procedures and guides and incorporates as mission critical.
  • 4+ years of experience with security operations and the ACAS suite of products.
  • Strong, hands-on experience supporting ACAS/Nessus.
  • Linux and Windows fundamentals.
  • Experience with writing/running scripts (Bash, Python).
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, practices, and requirements.
  • Knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge to meet DOD 8140 requirements through education, training, or personnel certification such as but not limited to an active DoD 8570 IA baseline security certification.
