Job Description
As a Process Engineer within our New ProductProcess Introduction Team NPPI you will be working with automated machines and processes as the local process authority for Wedge Wire bonding, cutting edge sensor technology, specifically in Long Wavelength Infrared LWIR supporting Automated Driving and Safety ADAS applications in our production plant in Goleta, California. Maintains, troubleshoots, improves, and optimizes current production lines, responsible for wedge bond processes and equipment. Participates in cross-functional production team to meet daily and weekly production demands. Maintains control of the process via SPC and measurement systems analyses gage repeatability and reproducibility. Problem solves through root cause analyses and 8D. Improves and optimizes via continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and six sigma methods. Creates and maintains manufacturing process specifications, production operator work instructions trains lead production operator to work instructions and audits on adherence thereto. Partners with global manufacturing teams to ensure alignment within wedge bond process and share lessons learned. Develops product and machine specifications, engineering reports fixtureprototype designs and assists with process development. Leads and participates in process failure modes and effects analyses development PFMEA for current and new processes. Participates in cross-functional development team to achieve successful, high-quality product development and high-volume manufacturing. Assists with mechanicalindustrialization design, design for manufacturability, assembly, test, integration, and manufacturing. International and domestic travel will be required. To be determined based on business needs. Other dutiesresponsibilities as needed and assigned.
Skills Required
BA Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Process or Mechanical Eng. 3+ yrs engineering exp in high volume manufacturing. SPC and data analysis exp.
