About USDS
U.S. Data Security (“USDS”) is a standalone entity of TikTok in the U.S. This new security-first division was created to bring heightened focus and governance to our data protection policies and content assurance protocols to keep U.S. users safe. Our focus is on providing oversight and protection of the TikTok platform and user data in the U.S.

About the team
The e-commerce alliance team aims to serve merchants and creators in the e-commerce platform to meet merchants' business indicators and improve creators' creative efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design and build large-scale machine learning algorithms to deeply optimize e-commerce search engines such as ranking, query analysis, and correlation calculation.
2. Build machine learning solutions and algorithm strategies by the analysis and mining of a large number of user queries.
3. Use large-scale data to analyze the behavior of creators and merchants and build targeted algorithm strategies.
4. Support the rapid development of TikTok's e-commerce business and promote healthy ecological development.

1. Proficient in at least one programming language: C++, Python, Shell, with a solid programming foundation.
2. Experience in algorithm development, familiar with Sparse LR, DFFM, Deep&Wide, and DSSM.
3. Familiar with at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow/Caffe/MXNet).
4. Able to solve problems independently, good sense of teamwork and communication skills.
5. Experience in search engines, recommendation systems, and computational advertising-related fields is preferred.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $184300 - $337250 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
