Job Title: Lead, Systems EngineerJob Code: 14488Job Location: Fall River, MA (100% on-site)Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off)Job Description:The purpose of the Systems Engineering and Integration and Test engineer position is to synthesize and define test processes for complex Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) systems. Coordinate assembly level through system level integration and test activities and ensure that technical obligations are fulfilled.Summary: Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.Nature of Supervision: Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction. Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the Company within area of expertise. Frequently responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.Communication: Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors. Works to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices and approaches. Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area. May conduct briefings with leaders.Essential Functions:Synthesize and define Software System architecture, requirements, and interfaces for complex Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) systemsCoordinate system level requirements internally and among subcontractors and suppliers.Work with Project Engineer, other engineers and other departments to ensure that all technical contractual obligations are fulfilled.Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) developmentAdhere to budget and schedule commitments supported Earned Value Management reporting.Support Proposal and Business Development efforts including developing technical architectures, generating basis of estimates, and performing trade studies.Perform engineering design analysis to establish validity of designs.Prepare and review design documentation in accordance with contract requirements and/or internal standards.Lead and support the test and integration of products/systemsDraft technical performance specifications and assist Purchasing Department with procurement of items as necessaryLeads technical analysis and design with customers and suppliersLeads systems engineering tasks for both manual and automated test processesExperience working on DoD programsExperienced Integration and Test Engineer - requirements validation and verification, developing and executing tests, hands on with hardware and software, generating Test Plans and Test Reports, data analysis, ability to provide clear/concise status and maintain scheduleCreate, deploy, and sustain automated test solutionDevelop and manage a test program, generate test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementationExecute system, CCA and component level functional testing and document resultsUse software tools and perform scripting and software/hardware troubleshootingSetup, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices to perform verification and validationInitiates and executes root cause analysis and correction actionSupport Operations in failure trend analysis and ensure failure trends are quickly and effectively identified and resolvedProvide technical consultation to internal organizations and/or customersManages continuous improvement effortsQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
