About the Job

Oracle Health Data & Analytics Platform is growing and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the HealtheIntent team. This development team builds applications and services to assist providers with comprehensive documentation and capturing accurate diagnoses by identifying possible missed opportunities. By providing maximized clinical context using available data to supplement decision-making combined with efficient documentation tools, providers are able to achieve more comprehensive and complete documentation which ultimately provides better care and outcomes for the patient as well as supports more accurate coding.

Responsibilities

1. As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply intermediate to advanced knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
2. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
3. Work involves problem solving, understanding, and applying company policies and processes.
4. Experience using Active Record to interact with database and perform data modeling.
5. Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
6. Intimate, working understanding of modern web applications from database to user interface.
7. Proficient in object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
8. Experience using RSpec to write tests ensuring code meets quality standards.
9. Expertise in writing well-modularized, maintainable software.
10. Experience with react.js.
11. Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.
12. Experience building cloud-based platforms that enable application design, development, testing, and distribution.

Knowledge of:

1. Design patterns and SOLID principles.
2. DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Maven, etc.
3. Software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
4. Technologies and design concepts around Big Data Processing and Relational Databases such as: ETL, Hadoop Ecosystem, structured data, SQL schemas, and queries, etc.
5. Micro-services architecture.

Required Qualifications:

1. U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Security Clearance.
2. 8+ years of technical experience relevant to this position.
3. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members.
4. BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only.

Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
