Position Overview: Senior Process Engineers are the primary individuals responsible for leading all engineering efforts (process, structural, commissioning, etc.) for projects they are leading. Senior Process Engineers are responsible for working with the project manager, process and controls engineers, mechanical designers, CAD team, along with fabrication and installation to advance their projects through the design and commissioning phases. This role is an active mentor on the engineering team and utilizes other members of the team to complete their tasks efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities: Supporting Sales: Proficient at visiting facilities to study, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for evaporator and spray dryer systems Capable of specifying and sizing equipment for proposals Supporting Projects: Review and assist with system Mass Balance calculations Responsible for the accuracy of the Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Oversees the modeling of all major equipment Designs and specifies the deflagration protection and water deluge systems Leads Hole & Load drawing development and the utility matrix Proficient at specify fans, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and burners Oversees instrumentation specifications Developer of the Process Description for controlling the system Strategizes equipment layouts (general arrangements) Leads the system commissioning and commissioning team including troubleshooting, training, and communicating. Supporting the Engineering Team: Mentor new engineering team members Assist other team members with their work as needed Review the work of other engineers as required Lead special initiatives as required to improve engineering processes Work to develop engineering standards Oversee Research and Development efforts
