The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a focus on data engineering to join our Team. You will play a pivotal role in providing technical vision and leadership for a major business component within our team end to end which works at a high scale and processes around a few PetaBytes of data on a daily basis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovation and deliver robust solutions that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop and deploy end-to-end features on our Data Pipeline and maintain them. The solutions could be like ETL pipelines, Data Warehousing solutions, Data Architecture, Data Cataloging, Data Delivery Solutions, Data Access Libraries, etc.
2. Collaborate with the various teams from Product Managers to Engineering for designing and developing means of data hand-off.
3. Identify and address performance bottlenecks: Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
5. Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices.
6. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and ownership.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related engineering field.
2. 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
3. 2+ years of experience building Device Graphs / Identity Graphs in any framework or language.
4. Experience in working with relational and non-relational databases.
5. Experience with CI / CD pipelines such as Jenkins.
6. Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred:

1. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
2. Strong familiarity with tools and frameworks like Spark, Hadoop.
3. Proficiency in programming languages like Scala and Python for developing data pipelines.
4. Prior experience working on Databricks and AWS.
5. Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Pulumi and Terraform among others.
